Art Basel Hong Kong 2021

Pearl Lam Galleries is delighted to participate in the ninth edition of Art Basel in Hong Kong. This year, the gallery will continue its mission of promoting cross-culture dialogue. We will feature a selection of artwork by nine artists from different generations and cultural backgrounds, both online and offline, connecting with our collectors and followers worldwide.

In conjunction with the region’s most prominent and most respected art event, newly signed UK based artist, Mr Doodle, will host a live “doodling” event from his studio on 20th May at 10 pm (HKT) titled Mr Doodle Live In The Studio. This event is a rare chance to catch the artist in action. Registration is accessible through several channels via the gallery website.

Alongside the fair, we will also open a solo exhibition with South Africa-based artist Zanele Muholi on the 18th May at our Pedder Building gallery. The show will present a collection of self-portraits from the Sommyama Ngonyaya (Hali the Dark Lioness) series, a series which the artist has been working on since 2012.
