Qiu Zhenzhong will present his treasured oriental art form and allow us to explore the essence of this traditional art.
*Qiu Zhenzhong, professor at Central Academy of Fine Arts, director of the Calligraphy and Painting Comparative Research Centre, Member of the National Art Museum of China Expert Committee, and Vice Director of the Chinese Calligraphers Association Academic Committee.
15:00 – 17:00 The Aesthetics and Spirit of Chinese Abstract Art
The lecture will be given by professors Xu Demin and Liang Yong’an from the Department of Chinese Language and Literature, Fudan University. Together they will share their perspectives about the connotations of abstract art and will discuss the misunderstandings and confusions we experience when trying to appreciate abstract art.
