Peter Ting is a Hong Kong born, London based designer. A highly creative and well respected ceramics and crystal designer, Ting has a wealth of knowledge in both hand and machinery manufacturing techniques, underpinned by a passionate knowledge of the history of ceramics and crystal, and interest in the latest CAD and Rapid Prototyping Techniques. Ting has worked for over 20 years within the luxury sector, currently with Asprey London, Royal Crown Derby and previously at Thomas Goode, both as design director and MD of Thomas Goode Manufacturing Unit.

In 2006, Brian Kennedy and Peter Ting formed ‘briing’, a small design consultancy in London, employing a hand-picked team of designers, many of whom are RCA graduates.

In April 2009 Ting was appointed as a Maker Trustee to the Board of Trustees of the UK Crafts Council. This is a culmination of 18 months of close relationship between the two, where Ting was the selector for the world-renowned ‘Origins’ exhibition, and as an advisor to the Crafts Council permanent collection.
